Dear Students, Teachers, Assistants, and Parents of the Ukrainian Studies School!

  1. On Saturday, November 23, the Ukrainian community will honor the 91st tragic anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 with a Memorial Service at St. Patrick's Cathedral at 1:00 PM. Therefore, on that day we will conclude classes at 12:00 PM so that students and parents can arrive at the cathedral on time. School students will participate in the children's procession at the cathedral and should be dressed in vyshyvankas or dark clothing.

  2. On Saturday, November 30, there will be no classes due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

  3. On Sunday, December 8, at 2:00 PM, our school will celebrate its 75th anniversary in the school hall — an invitation has been sent to you. Students from grades 1, 3, 6, and 8–11 will be performing. All performers should wear vyshyvankas and plan to arrive by 2:30. Students performing with Moloda Dumka are kindly asked to make their way to the school as soon as possible after their performance at St. Patrick's Cathedral. This is a special milestone in our school's history, so please do your best to ensure your children are there. A separate letter with details for performing students will follow.

  4. On Saturday, December 14, at 11:00 AM, our school will hold its annual Anniversary Christmas Concert, with all classes taking part. Please make sure your children have learned the words to their carols and songs, are dressed in vyshyvankas, and arrive at school by 9:00 AM.

  5. The last day of classes before the winter break will be December 21.
