Register your child on time (an individual form is required for each child) and submit payment according to the school's instructions.

Notify the registration office or administration of any changes to your contact information, class placement, attendance status, etc.

Ensure your child attends classes regularly throughout the school year.

Drop off and pick up your child on time.

Notify the teacher or administration of any absences in advance, when possible.

Help your child maintain Ukrainian as a heritage language through simple weekly habits: reading, short writing exercises, and listening to or watching Ukrainian content. Encourage your child to speak Ukrainian without pressure — motivation first, accuracy second.

Regularly check school announcements and messages (email, group chats, and other communication channels).

Maintain open and constructive communication with teachers and administration, especially if your child needs additional support or accommodations.

Each family is required to complete 2 duty shifts during the school year:

• one hallway monitoring shift during the school day;

• one shift at a school event or celebration.

Families may opt out of duty shifts by contributing $50 to the Parent Committee fund. (ukrainianschoolnyc.org)

Support the school's conduct guidelines in classrooms, hallways, and at school events.

Remind your children to show respect for their teachers, classmates, and the school environment.

Inform the school of any important medical or safety circumstances that may affect your child's school day.
